Our clients were traveling in downtown Dallas and were hit by a hit-and-run driver. Our clients suffered soft tissue injuries to their necks and backs. They hired us because their uninsured motorist coverage failed to provide a reasonable offer. We filed suit and received a settlement of $50,000 for each client. A contingent fee charged on the successful recovery resulted in attorney’s fees of $16,000 and $1,585.84 in expenses, which were reimbursed by the clients out of the gross settlement amount.
