Allstate insured the driver. Our client had $16,373.17 in medical expenses. After hiring us, Allstate paid its policy limits of $30,000. We recovered an additional $30,000 from his underinsured motorist coverage and $10,003 from his personal injury protection. A contingency fee charged on the successful recovery resulted in attorney’s fees of $15,000 and $892.40 in expenses, which were reimbursed by the client out of the gross settlement amount.
